Miles Kane

Back at the start of february my boyfriend and I were lucky enough to get tickets for a very intimate Miles Kane gig. He played in one of my local music venues Central Station as a warm up gig for the NME Awards tour he is currently on (well im guessing thats why) He played a few new tracks from his  yet to be released new album (which I can't wait to get my hands on) and most of his first album including some of my favourite tracks 'Come closer' and 'Rearrange'. It's so much fun to see an artist you love in such close proximity in a room full of other fans.

I was a big Rascals fan back in the day and completely wore out my Last of the Shadow Puppets album (Age of the Understatement is still in my top ten most played) I just think the Miles kane Mod-esque genre is right up my street.

I have seen Miles play before at Leeds Fest, T in the Park and Benicassim. If he is at a festival you are going to this summer I cannot recommend you see him more, its the perfect music for dancing with your mates with a cider in hand, you just feed off his enthusiasm on stage and the whole crowd has a good time.

If you haven't brought his 'Colour of the Trap' album I would highly recommend it specially if you are into Indie/Rock & Roll like me.

Are you a Miles Kane fan? Do you have his album or intend to buy it? Are you planning on going to any of his gigs or see him at any festivals?

Chatsworth House & Quebecs Hotel

Last week for valentines day my boyfriend and I had a lovely long weekend together. My parents had rented a small cottage in the Peak District thats part of the Chatsworth Estate. They needed to leave early due to work commitments so we were lucky that they had given us the chance to stay there for free on the last night.
We drove to Park Cottage straight after work on Valentines Day with a lovely Marks & Spencer valentines Meal Deal and sat by the log fire all night cuddled up on the sofa.
The house has lovely rustic, chic decor and was fully refurbished by the Duchess of Devonshire. The main focus of the house is the amazing bed pictured above made from rhododendron branches and was unbelievably comfy.

The next day we visited Chatworth House grounds (unfortunately the main house was closed) Learning about the history about the house and the Devonshire family. We also visited the amazing farm shop filled with loads of goodies.

Andy then surprised me with a stop over in Leeds.
We stayed in the lovely Quebecs Boutique Hotel right in the city centre. As we had both never visited the city properly before we spent most of the time exploring, going to The Corn Exchange and popping into the surrounding Vintage shops (thanks to all you guys who recommended places to shop and eat on twitter) The rest of the time we spent just chilling in our hotel room lounging in the hotel bathrobes (My Favourite)

Have you ever visited Chatsworth House or Quebecs? Is there any where else in Leeds I should visit next time?

Aztec on the Beach

I have recently returned from an amazing holiday with my family in Mexico. We have visited Cancun once before but this year we wanted to visit somewhere a little less commercialised and visted Playacar in Rivera Maya.

Dress - Topshop
Glasses - Rayban Wayfarers

To jazz up my typical holiday day wear of levi shorts and white vest tops I wore my favourite midi dress. I usually I avoid body con styles as I have a curvy figure and feel like tight dresses show every lump and bump, however the thicker material and busy print disguises everything and is super comfy, perfect for a day at the beach.
Ill share more pictures of my holiday in another post for you guys to see.
Now I am back in the UK I have been wearing this dress with chunky boots and a leather jacket, I love that it can be worn all though the seasons.

Are there any other ways you would style this dress? Perhaps for an evening look?

With Skin as White as Snow

Hat - Asos, Coat - Zara,  Jumper - Primark, Shirt - H&M, Leggings - New Look, Boots - Primark

Hey guys I'm back!! I had a little break from blogging as I was working so much over christmas and have just returned from a holiday in Mexico.

Yes I literally only landed 3 days ago from 2 weeks in the sun and I am already this pale.
I am definitely feeling the cold more after getting used to the tropical climate of Riviera Maya so wrapped up warm for a walk in the snow.
I am in love this hat, I actually got it as a gift last christmas but feel like it needs to be really cold for me to get away with wearing it. It does give you bad hat hair after wearing but it keeps your ears nice and toasty.
I seem to be wearing my Zara coat everyday. Its so cosy and goes with everything, I think the leather detailing gives it a cool rock edge and makes any outfit look more chic and pulled together. Two of my favourite bloggers Lily from What I Heart Today and Lexi from FashionFilth also own this coat so I like to see how they wear it for Fash-piration
Seen as I always wear such dark colours I have been buying a few bright coloured jumpers to brighten up my outfits a little and this burgundy knit was a steal from Primark.

Now that my lipstick drawer is now full to the brim one of my new years resolutions is so wear lipstick more often. I own so many but don't want to wear them as I don't want them to run out, but what's the point in owning them and not wearing them? Does anyone else have this problem? Anyhoo, here I am wearing MAC Russian Red.

If you know of anywhere else selling some bargain bright jumpers let me know, I am still on the hunt for more. Have you been for a stroll in the snow or even better built a snowman?

The Amelia Maxi Dress

Dress - Gorgeous Couture*
Belt - Primark
Shoes - Own The Runway

I LOVE this Gorgeous Couture dress. It is so timeless and classic, I can see it being a piece I will have in my wardrobe...well forever
The material is so lovely, heavy so it hangs in all the right places but also skims over lumps and bumps.
I wore this dress to my boyfriends works Christmas Party and decided to pair this with my gold belt from Primark and Leopard print shoes to break it up a little. I kept make up and hair simple as I wanted the look to be all about the dress.

Have you ever brought a Gorgeous Couture dress?
