Brave Soul A/W 2012 Collection

I was so excited to be invited to Brave Souls A/W 2012 collection Blogger Event. It's the first blogger event i've attended and it was so fun, it was so nice to chat to other bloggers about all subjects and dilemmas we all face like Outfit posts, photography, lighting, blogs we read and blog design etc. I know a lot of my friends don't really understand why I like to blog, some who don't know me too well even consider fashion blogging all about vanity, so it was great just to talk to like minded people.

The event was held in The Circle Club in Manchester and the guys at Brave Soul were the perfect hosts with non stop champagne and loads of canapés on offer.

Brave Soul is a Manchester based company who are only about three years old and are going from strength to strength. A lot of the clothes are very reasonably priced, many from under £30. For women they had so many wardrobe staples including leather jackets, comfy jumpers and quilted coats. The mens collection was also brilliant. they had shirts I am considering buying for my boyfriend for his birthday next month, they are definitely good contenders for what is in Topman at the moment and had cool vintage inspired prints.

Here are some photos from the evening.

Shirt - Zara
Shorts - River Island
Shoes - Topshop
Lipstick - Topshop
Sunglasses - Ray Ban

Me and Ella Nora from Hand-Drawn Heart. I also met Ashleigh from Pretty Girl Rich.

I had such a great time and as i left i was given a goodie bag with a red, gorgeously soft jumper inside as well as a few other goodies which was so kind.

You can check out Brave Soul and their new collection Here.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers

On the 23rd June my boyfriend dragged me to see Red Hot Chilli Peppers at Knebworth. He had been dying to see them for years and I was being taken along for the ride. Even though I had always been a fan of RHCP I was a little worried about money as it was only a few weeks before our holiday and we needed petrol/hotel etc so I wasnt as ethusiastic as I could have been.
In the end I LOVED IT.
Knebworth is a brilliant setting for a gig as the stage is slightly down hill so almost everybody has a good view.
It was an all day gig with Reverend and the Makers, The Wombats and Dizzie Rascal supporting with loads of food stalls and shops where you can buy studs/ plugs and fair ground rides.
RHCP were so good live. They sang all the classics with a couple of covers and were so enthusiastic and .... mental, the crowd totally lapped it up and the atmosphere was amazing.

Have you seen RHCP?? What did you think of them?

Coldplay

ohmygosh! I have so many posts I want to share with you guys. I have recently just got back from holiday (post coming up) and just before I left I already had a list as long as my arm of posts I want to share. So be prepared to be bombarded....

First.... back at the beginning of June I went to see Coldplay at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.

I havn't shared too much personally on my blog until recently but I am a huge music fan. Primarily its indie/rock/alternative music and its one of the primary things my boyfriend and I have in common. As since I was around 15 I have been going to gigs and going to festivals since I was 17 I think I could say I have seen my fair share of bands and this Coldplay gig has to be in my top 3.
It blew my mind.
I had seen Coldplay once before at T in the park last year and they were really good then but I just knew I had to see them at their own gig, knowing they would put on an amazing show.

Rita Ora (Verryyy good) and Robyn (Verrry Weird) were the support acts and then Coldplay played for roughly 2 hours. Here are some photos of one of he most amazing gigs of my life and a little oufit of the day for you.

Chris Martin running past us to get to a smaller stage..... Lots of screaming!!

London Fashion Weekend

I have been meaning to write this post for a while now, im not sure why it has taken me so long, but here it is....

Last september i was lucky enough to be able to work at London Fashion Weekend, i was so nervous having to stay in London on my own for a week and was so on edge the whole time when alone in my hotel room, but now when i look back on it i had a really good time, met some lovely people and would love to do it again. Unfortunately i had too much university work to be able to work at the February Fashion Weekend thats just passed, but i hope to be able to work at the one coming up on September. I recommend any fashion lover to attend the weekend, you get to go shopping all afternoon around designer stands, watch a catwalk show with a goodie bag and relax at yummy restaurants and champagne bars.
I had the great opportunity to go to the menswear day of London Fashion Week. Wow the clothes the visitors were amazing. I was so nervous to ask for pictures incase i was being naive and asking some billionaire designer for their picture to go on a blog that at the time didn't even exist. I only managed to plug up the courage to ask for three pictures.
( Love the shorts)

(Even though this guy looks too cool for school, his manners were appalling)

(More on this milliner in another post)

I was in-charge of helping designers set up their stands in a wing of Somerset house. Juicy Couture, Elizabeth Lau, House of Harlow and Les Nereides were a few of the designers i had the pleasure of helping out.
I was really excited when the weekend opened to the public because even though it was my first time working at the Fashion Weekend they trusted me enough with my own information desk. Each helper was treated to be able to go and watch the catwalk show. The designers being showcased were BodyAmr and Ashley Isham and the collections were beautiful. They all had amazing structure and are designs for real women.

(Apologies for the awful quality photos, i only had my iPhone and the lighting was so strong)

One of the models I was really excited to meet was Jade McSorley. I had bumped into her while walking to Somerset House and acted like a stalker fan asking so many questions about Britains Next Top Model. She was so lovely, i also love that even though she was one of the shortest models to be on BNTM she is now really successful. If you cant put the name to the face this is a photograph from one of her photoshoots.

I became really good friends with the security around Somerset House and i was so happy when one of the ladies went and got me the official London Fashion Week goodie bag designed by Mulberry, it is now one of my post prized possessions. I gave all the goodies inside to my mum for her birthday including some posh chocolate and coffee.
